Waste Permit?

What is a Waste Permit?
A Waste Permit is a written document giving authorization or official permission for Skip Placement.

Why do I need a Waste Permit?
Most councils require that skips being placed on a Public Highway or council land (i.e. the berm) need to have a skip permit, this is done in the interest of public safety. In some postcodes private land placement also requires a permit for the same reason.

How do I get a Waste Permit?
Contact your local council directly as one council’s expectations may differ to others. They will advise if you need a permit for your skip placement and how to go about applying for one.

If you book your skip at www.bookaskip.co.uk you will be asked if you require a permit, normally the permit will be arranged by the supplier, however some local councils require the hirer of the skip to apply so you will be advised of this requirement on the bookaskip page where the “Best Price” for your skip hire is presented.

How long will it take to get a Waste Permit?
Depending on your postcode the processing time (and cost ) may differ, your local council will be able to advise of information specific to you. www.bookaskip.co.uk can calculate the council’s required time within your rental time frame.

Sometimes it is better (easier!) to let someone else arrange the smaller details, try booking your skip at www.bookaskip.co.uk

Nice And Sunny Outside?

Take advantage of the dry weather by getting on top of your waste management! How easy would it be to book online knowing you are getting the best price possible in your area? Why should you have to do the run around calling numerous suppliers when all you want is convienence and an affordable rate? With bookaskip you have that option! The right supplier is only a click away!

A few things to note when you’re in the market for a skip hire:

  • Will you need a permit? Most of the skip hires that are placed on Council land will require a permit.
  • What size do I need? Be sure to assess what size will be suitable for the job. There is nothing worse than hiring a skip that’s too small and incurring additional costs to cover excess weight.

Luckily our friendly team is just a Live Chat away and will be happy to assist with all your questions.
